Our Approach to SEND in Early Years

At Little Years, inclusion is not an add-on, it is the foundation of everything we do.

  • We specialise in early identification, responsive teaching, and relational practice, ensuring every child is supported at their developmental level.

  • Our approach is guided by:

    • PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy)

    • Emotion Coaching

    • A strong focus on child-led development

We believe in meeting children where they are, rather than placing expectations on unmet needs.

  • Our unique Inclusion Triangle Framework places the child at the centre of practice, supported by four key pillars:

    1. Team & Culture – Skilled practitioners and inclusive workplace values

    2. Curriculum – Flexible, child-centred learning experiences

    3. Pedagogy & Environment – Adapted environments that support diverse needs

    4. Family & Wider Network – Strong partnerships with families and professionals

This model ensures that SEND inclusion is embedded across every aspect of early years provision, not treated as a separate intervention.

Why choose our SEND & Inclusion Hub?

  • Specialist SEND early years expertise

  • Highly trained SENCO-led provision

  • Integrated speech, language and emotional development support

  • Strong family partnerships and advocacy

  • A nurturing, inclusive environment where every child belongs.
