Our Fees

Fee Structure and Payment Information

At Little Years Nurseries, our fees are calculated over 51 weeks of the year, with an equal monthly payment spread across all 12 months. We believe this approach helps families by providing predictable and consistent payments, making it easier to plan your finances.

We also offer a limited number of term-time only places at each nursery places are invoiced on actual booked attendance each month

We are registered to accept Tax-Free Childcare, which can save families up to £2,000 per year. If you're eligible, this government scheme could help significantly reduce your childcare costs.

Government Funded Hours – Additional Fees Explained

The government-funded 15 and 30 hours are intended to cover the cost of basic childcare only. They do not include the full range of resources, activities, or enrichment experiences we offer at Little Years Nurseries.

To maintain our high standards and ensure every child receives the best possible care and early education, we charge an Additional Fee for each funded hour. This helps cover essential items such as but not limited too:

  • Nutritionally balanced meals, snacks, and drinks

  • Nappies and other consumables

  • Learning resources and materials beyond the basics

  • Staff training and development

  • Trips, events, and enrichment experiences

  • Famly communication software

  • Seasonal parties events and celebrations

This contribution is entirely voluntary and agreed each term. It enables us to provide an enhanced, high-quality experience that goes above and beyond the basic EYFS requirements, enriching children’s learning, development and well-being.

If you choose not to take part in this contribution, your child will still be welcomed and included, however they may not be able to access all of the enhanced elements we offer unless you are able to provide the necessary resources yourself.

We understand that every family's circumstances are different. That’s why we offer financial assistance with Additional Fees for families on low incomes or experiencing financial hardship. Please speak to us in confidence if you’d like to discuss support options.

While government funding rates vary by age (with lower rates for 3 and 4-year-olds), we apply the same Additional Fee across all funded children to keep things fair and consistent for families. This fee is reviewed annually and any changes will be communicated in advance.

Thank you for supporting a sustainable, high-quality early years environment.

If you have any questions about fees or funding options, please don’t hesitate to speak to our team—we’re always happy to help.
