New Nursery Opening at York Biotech Campus

Childcare Near York & Malton (July 2026)

We are delighted to announce the opening of our brand-new nursery at York Biotech Campus, launching in July 2026. Located just off the A64 between York and Malton, the new site will provide high-quality early years childcare for families living and working across the region.

This exciting opening marks a significant milestone for us, becoming the fifth nursery site we’ve opened in the past three years. As we grow, we remain committed to the same mission that has guided us from the beginning: creating nurturing spaces where children can be curious, grow with confidence and be unapologetically themselves.

We’re thrilled that local families are already securing their places for Sand Hutton, showing just how strong the demand is for high-quality childcare in the area.

A Convenient Nursery Location Near York and Malton

Our newest nursery is perfectly positioned just off the A64 corridor between York and Malton, making it an ideal choice for busy families commuting between the two areas.

Situated at York Biotech Campus, the nursery is surrounded by a thriving community of businesses, researchers and professionals. This unique setting allows us to support both:

  • Families who live in nearby villages and communities

  • Parents working on the York Biotech Campus

The location also acts as a natural gateway between Monks Cross, York and Malton, offering convenient access for families travelling from surrounding areas such as Sand Hutton, Stamford Bridge, Strensall, Flaxton and Sheriff Hutton.

Our goal is to provide accessible, high-quality childcare that supports the local community and working families across North Yorkshire.

A Purpose-built setting uniquely designed for Early Years Learning

The building at York Biotech Campus is being given a new lease of life, carefully redesigned to create a welcoming and inspiring early years environment.

The nursery will feature newly created playrooms that interlink, allowing children to move between spaces and encouraging family-style learning across age groups.

Key features of the nursery will include:

  • Interconnected playrooms to support collaborative learning

  • Dedicated sleep spaces for rest and quiet time

  • A real working kitchen, where children can explore nutrition, cooking and different tastes and textures

These environments allow children to develop practical life skills while building confidence and independence through everyday experiences.

Supporting Families and the Local Economy

The nursery will have a capacity of 55 children per day, allowing us to provide high-quality childcare while maintaining strong relationships with every family.

In addition to our regular nursery provision, the site will also offer holiday care for existing families and York Biotech Campus staff, subject to available spaces. This flexible option will help support parents during school holidays while ensuring children continue to enjoy engaging learning experiences in a safe and familiar environment.

As well as supporting families, the new nursery will also create around 20 new jobs in the local area, providing opportunities for talented early years professionals to join our growing team.

Growing While Staying True to Our Mission

Opening a fifth nursery in three years is an exciting milestone, but our focus remains unchanged.

As we expand, we are doubling down on what matters most: creating warm, inspiring environments where children can explore, develop confidence and grow into themselves.

We are incredibly excited to bring our approach to early years education to York Biotech Campus and the surrounding communities, and we cannot wait to welcome families through our doors in July 2026.
